Kamboi Hills National Forest

Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Kenema, head towards the main road (Bumbuna Road). Walk west on Bumbuna Road for about 1.5 km until you reach the junction at RRX5+GFQ. Continue straight to access the path leading towards Kamboi Hills. The hills will be visible as you approach, and you can follow the marked trails to navigate through the forest area.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Kenema. Start your journey by cycling west on Bumbuna Road for approximately 1.5 km until reaching the junction at RRX5+GFQ. Look for signs pointing towards Kamboi Hills and follow the dirt paths leading into the national forest. The ride may be bumpy, so ensure you have appropriate gear and watch out for other cyclists and pedestrians.

  • Local Motorcycle Taxi (Okada)

    Find a local motorcycle taxi (Okada) in Kenema, which can be identified by riders waiting at designated spots. Inform the driver that you want to go to Kamboi Hills. They will take you along Bumbuna Road and drop you at the junction near RRX5+GFQ, from where you can walk into the national forest. Ensure you agree on the fare before starting your journey.
