From the center of Kenema, head towards the main market area. Once you reach the market, ask locals for the direction to the Gola Rainforest National Park. Most people will direct you to the main road leading out of Kenema towards the south. Walk along this road until you reach the junction that leads to the park entrance, which is marked with a sign. The walk should take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Kenema. Start from the town center and ride towards the main market. From the market, take the road that leads south out of Kenema. Continue straight until you reach the signs for Gola Rainforest National Park. The cycling route should take around 30 to 45 minutes, and it’s advisable to ask locals for guidance along the way to ensure you’re on the right path.

Motorbike Taxi (Okada)
Find a motorbike taxi (locally known as Okada) near the Kenema market. Make sure to tell the driver you want to go to Gola Rainforest National Park. The ride will take about 15 to 20 minutes depending on traffic. It’s a good idea to negotiate the fare beforehand and confirm that the driver knows the exact location of the park.
